Hi, just thought I'd say a hello. I'm Tom, a student from the east of England and I stumbled upon your place here when I was checking out some online places for buying cigars.

I've smoked cigarillos before (some Agio, some Romeo y Juliieta and some others) and dabbled with some pipe smoking (man that can be a pain lighting up outside in the winter with only a couple of matches!). I'm curious to try some cigars, just not sure exactly what to try and where's best to get them from.

I've used simplycigars.com so I'll probably try them. There's actually a really good tobacconists here in Norwich so I could check them out but I'm guessing they'll be pretty expensive. I was thinking of trying some non cuban cigars, mainly due to the cheaper price (poor student and all) and I see that a member here sells some cigars and his prices look more than reasonable.

I'm not sure what made me want to try some cigars. It annoys me that smoking seems to be this big taboo nowadays and you get frowned upon, I don't get what's up with that. If people want to enjoy a good smoke, why the hell shouldn't they be able to without people telling them for the hundredth time how bad it is etc?

People will probably laugh at me if I lighted up a nice cigar, being so young and all (more than old enough to smoke of obviously) but I think people have this image as only older men smoking cigars. I can understand that, not gonna stop me giving them a go though.

Anyway, I'm rambling again, I always end up doing this. Hello everyone.

Great post, oh man with the strange name.

I smoke cigars at 50. I smoked them when I was a student. I smoked my first at 14.

If you like it, do it!

Best wishes. Keep coming back.

Aye, I think I will do, d'you reckon he could knock up a little sampler of a few different types? (If that isn't too much hassle as I really don't know what to try, what to start with etc)

The people here seem really cool. I read the thread about people here not resulting to petty arguments and being laid back, and I must say I agree! I'm glad I found this place.

If you're into different types of music, that will be cool, too. :smoke:

What course are you doing? (I'm a teacher).

In fact when people ask me what types of music I'm into I usually reply, "All kinds,". People seem to be shocked by that, but to me I just can't understand how people can say that they only like one or two genres of music.

I listen to rock, metal, heavy stuff, reggae, easy listening, punk, electronic, hip hop (the proper stuff) etc, whether its old or new.

I'm studying Computer Science.

Hi tom, I started with a cigar to celebrate my godsons arrival - think it was a cohiba of some sort - thought all cigars would be as good as that and as i didn't buy it........ It is expensive and now nearly three years on - smoking one to three a day, well a love that has its consequences, but i still love them all the different types and brands - become a bit of cuban purist, most other stuff doesn't do it for me. A montechristo No2 is a great smoke, had one today.
Hope to speak more
