Since that review by Daize (http://www.ukcigarforums.com/showthread.php?t=5319 ) on the Magnum 48 I had to find out what all the fuss was about, but in the end opted to buy a sampler pack of the 46s and 50s instead. However good things do come to those who wait as I happened to be in luck a week later with Burner's 4x48s offer which I gladly snapped-up. :smoke:
And then there was this rumour that Cigar Aficionado magazine had awarded the Padron Family Reserve Maduro No 45 cigar of the year for 2009. I had to find out why, but these were only available in boxes of 10 priced at £340! But again, serendipity emerged with monkey66's offer of selling one of his prized sticks to me. :hail:
So here they all are, in a humidor that is starting to look smaller as the weeks go by. For that reason I think it is time to smoke the Alonso Menendez No 40 :biggrin1:
