Hello from Englishman in Ukraine
Just wanted to say 'Hello' from Ukraine.
Warming up a little here today. Only -7. Was -16 yesterday.
Home was in Lincolnshire, but now Dnepropetrovsk.
More a collector than a smoker, but great to find this forum:biggrin1:
Are there any other Cigar Box Label Collectors in the forum?
If YES, do mail me!

Blimey!
Hi Bickerstonehall.
How exotic!
Can you get good cigars out there?
For when you aren't collecting the labels?
Best wishes
Bryan

Hi Bryan ROBUSTO!
What I can tell you? If you can keep it a secret:smile:
Prices here are so much less than at home in the UK and I have been know to post quite a few cigars and cigarettes home to family and friends and so far no problem, but only ever a small box of cigars or three or four packets of Russian cigarettes for the adventurous to give a try!
All good fun.

Hi Deano.
Now living in Dnepropetrovsk. Born in London and home was a village called Helpringham in Lincolnshire until a few year back when I visited a friend I made when I at University in Leicester. He was Ukrainian and after visiting a party met a friend of his sister.
Now after we lived in England for a year and then some time in Turkey we now living in the home city of my wife along with our two year old daughter.
Business for me is buying some old wrecks of houses and having a good time while I make them good. Did not think to do that in Ukraine, but two or three years ago prices were nothing, now they have gone balistic.
For property, but not cigars and cigarettes:smile:
Saying Hi to Bryan in reply to his welcome and question.
Welcome Bickerstonehall!
I just joined yesterday and am finding it all very friendly so far!
I've not been to the Ukraine but I travel to neighbouring Poland quite regularly. I know a lot of people bring bulk supplies of cigarettes in from Poland because of the low price - I had a quick look at cigar prices on the net and they are also quite a bit cheaper that the major retailers here, but not much different from the prices of the chap that sells them on this forum. Don't know if you or anyone else has any experience buying from Poland?
Olls.

Hi Olls.
I often visit Poland as I have to leave the Ukraine every 90 days to renew my visa. Even if I only visit another country for a few hours shopping that gives me another 90 days. Strange system!
Prices in Poland must be much higher than in Ukraine as there are always women on the bus taking bags loads of cigaretts, vodka and sweets over the border to resell. Often I get asked if I have cigerettes as they want me to carry another two packs over for them. Which I do and always get a Free bag of sweets for my daughter in return:smile:
Will get the latest prices for some well know cigars here and post them in the forum and see how they compare to UK and US prices.
Hope the low prices here not upset to many cigar smokers back home in the UK.

Nice to find a UK based site to keep in touch with, even when a long way from home.
As for the Gas situation in Ukraine, no problem at the moment. Warm day today, only -4 outside but the heating is working just fine. Shorts and t-shirt as I make this post. Electric heaters on stand by just in case:smile:
