Just to ask if anyone else is planning on going next month to the festival?
I'm deffinately going, never miss it if i can. I've put 3 jobs on hold till i get back its that worth it.
If you get onto the festival website you can find all the details of whats on over the week. I'm off for 2 weeks in all and plan on visiting a couple of old plantations, i fancy learning to roll my own cigars properly. I did that 2 years ago and half got there , i`ll put plenty of pictures up when i get back to prove how bad i am haha and of the festival.

The girlfriend wanted to come but i explained that all the rooms are full of cigar smoke and it just guys drinkins and smoking like mad, it was enough to put her off coming haha. Its definately a guys week away!!

Its a shame i`m so far north otherwise i`d bring back some specials and organise a tasting evening. Might have to see about sending some down once i`m back so some of you can atleast have a taste of Cuba and have something in your humidor to gleem over.
I`ll be putting plenty of pictures up so you can see what its like!.If you dont hear from me though you know i`m still there under a tobacco leaf smoking like a chimney haha.

There is a guy on here called Malcom (Wildwood) who is based in Scotland. Chances are you are miles away, but you never know you might be within herfing distance.

I was asking you yes Bryan.Have you tried one of those steam bowls witha towel over your head? either that or come spend a long weekend in scotland surrounded by snow haha.

I would meet up with Malcom but by the sounds of it he has his hands full the now with a new born so might leave him for a wee bit.

Bryan do you smoke monte no.2`s much?

I have done that bowl and towel trick before, SC, but it makes me feel a bit like a pervert so I try to avoid that.

I'm actually wondering whether to risk a Partagas D4 after work and force out the remaining gunk. Last time it worked like a dream, and if I have too many enforced weeks off the stogies like this I might forget that I love the ritual completely.

I have indeed enjoyed a good number of Montecristo No2s over time. For some reason I have kept their boxes, too, which sit around the computers as storage space for pencil sharpeners and so on. I usually chuck cigar boxes out, but they are beautiful things. Conduits for happy memories.

I've got home and we're having haggis.
I can't smoke a good cigar after that old windy food.

Hey Bryan Haggis is good for you!, did you have it the traditional way with neeps, tatties and whisky sauce?
I've got a nice partagas 160 on the go, i bet it would go great with haggis!
