I cant remember how much it went for in the end but i believe it was in the region of £500+.
Myself, Trevor and Stephan managed to get to the auction - was an interesting night!

Did you buy anything?
Had some fine times at the old Christies Auctions, especially the before and after :)
I bet the quality at Mitch's was far better than some of the stuff that used to go under the hammer at Christies ;)

Go to Mitch's site (see link at top of page) and then see the auction link on the left. The prices for all the sold lots are shown against the lots.
I see from James Suckling's blog that the Trinidad Fundadores went for less than the current retail....... bugger!!!

out of interest, do most/all lots go to bidders that are actually there in the flesh rather than just bid online?

Amazing prices for cigars. Don't get me wrong, I am a BOTL through and through, but $10K and up for a box??
Cheers Mitch for a very successful auction!

It is a mixture of people who have bid via email etc before hand and people in the room.
The three of us didnt end up winning anything - the things we had our eye on went for more than expected.
Its an interesting auction - you get to meet a lot of big players in the UK/London cigar world:
Simon Chase of Hunters
Gemma Freeman of Hunters
Gioseppie of the lanesborough
Eddie and Edward Sahakian of Davidoff
Ajay of La Casa del Habano
James Suckling
as well as various others.

Yeah, I can imagine it was a good night. One other question then! I notice on the lots page of the website that there are at least a couple of lots that were unsold - and as I can't imagine they wouldn't have got any bids at all (if you were in the room you would put a bid down for aa few quid surely if there were no prior email bids), is this situation either a mistake on the website or are there unpublicised reserves on lots that weren't met?

I thought all lots were sold- but either way the bidding doesn't start low.
