I was looking for a cigar-oriented film clip to start a thread and came across this randomly...
<object width="425" height="344">
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wPMI1Ol3wrw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></object>
I couldn't find many cigar film clips on YouTube, but I do remember this one...
<object width="425" height="344">
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DzhPdxugCkc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></object>
If you can find any, please add them.
Or maybe write about a moment you remember but can't find.
It's a bit of fun! :cowboyic9:
I think there's a few cigar scenes in Scarface.

Will Smith in Independence Day. Throughout the movie Will has a cigar that he only will light up when his job is done. He lights up twice I think. One after he punches an alien in the face and I think he has another at the very end.
Also, the HBO show Sopranos always had a lot of cigar smoking. CAO made a decent cigar named after the show.

I've bought SCARFACE today because of your recommendations, guys.
Zavvi (???) is in liquidation, so I bought lots of films to shake my fundament.
I bought:
Alien ?3 (I love sci-fi with great alien creatures)
Aliens ?3
Scarface ?7 (Better be good or I'll deck you)
Borat ?3 (When the chickens come out of a suitcase on the subway train, I nigh on shat myself with laughter at the cinema. Great rubber fist moment, too).
The League Of Gentlemen Box Set ?12 (Freak, English humour I love. Bargain)
Couldn't get Tommy. No longer available. It's because it's risible crap! I'll go on eBay.
Joe - That cigar clip at the end of Independence Day is up top.
There's a good cigars n women clip on YouTube I might post later. A real film, it seems. Very, very nice!

LOL!
Just got a brand new Tommy 2 disc special edition set for nearly nothing on eBay.
Lots of extra interviews. Utter nonsense. I can't wait!
I think Jack Nicholson smokes a stogie as a doctor in Tommy. Or it might be Oliver Reed being a mental case in a top hat.

SCARFACE
2h40 of guns and cigars.
It was a fine film! :biggrin1:
Told you so :biggrin1:, anything with Paccino or DeNiro is usually top stuff.
Just thought of another, have you seen Hell Boy, not a bad film at all, but he certainly loves his cigars.
Also not a film, but do any of your remember the american TV series Columbo, has there ever been so many cigars in one TV series :biggrin1:?

All of these I shall add to the list.
I'm beginning to think I want to be an extra smoking a good cigar in a film.
How cool would that be?!

Goodfellas.
Just watched it.
It's a superb film, as some of you said.
I can't think how I'd never heard of it!
Great cigar action - not that that really mattered - and wonderful direction.

O ye!! How did I forget about the bond???:hail::hail::41::cool:
Robusto

Of course, Nic. Of course. :biggrin1:
I've forgotten the actors' names, but that Bond there is a cigar man in real life - as is Daniel Craig, the latest.
They've both expressed dissatisfaction that Bond is no longer 'allowed' to be seen smoking cigars in the new films.
PC madness, eh?

Don't forget the R&J Churchill/Moneypenny scene from Tomorrow Never Dies.
Bond (after her refusing the cigar as a present): "Ah, Moneypenny, the story of our relationship -close, but no cigar..."
And there is a decent bit of Bolivar Beliscosos at the beginning of Black Hawk Down.
Now I think of it, the General in the Hulk films is always seen chomping a cigar, the director makes quite a fuss over it. (Don't bother watching the Hulk films if you haven't seen them, the cigars are the best bit)

I'd have liked her to have been toking a fatter stick.

Make it your avatar, Sir Rufus. :cowboyic9:
I can't believe I figured out how to do that. It's no small feat for a computer neophyte such as myself and thanks for the suggestion. It worked out better than I could have hoped.:smoke:
