Great Tour so far. Cancellara is on form and stronger than ever; he can't get over the mountains so he isn't a GC contender. Contador will win it or be very close.

But let's hear it for the Brits! Wiggins will surely get a podium place. David Millar is riding well, Mark Cavendish will dominate the sprints and Geraint Thomas is currently second! I met his friends and family roadside in 2007 and they were a warm, kind bunch who shared food and drinks with us.

The big question is can any of the modern peloton live up to M. Jacques Anquetil a cigar smoker who won the tour five times and used to drink champagne DURING the stage?
