At last! Sufficiently clear of cold and flu bugs to enjoy the familiar sweet tickle of a Partagas D4.
I think this is my first cigar since New Year's Eve... Therefore this is my first Havana of 2009!
I really feel well now! :smoke:

Have about 15 of those sitting in the humidor, nicely aged about 5 years. As I am going home at the weekend think I may have one

Deano - It's a dream smoke, yes?
I still can't quite describe its taste.
Anyone who has smoked one and written about it on here has always sung its praises.
I'm a huge fan!

I've got one for my birthday this weekend.
The wife wanted to go into Birmingham last weekend handbag shopping (for her,not me) and this was her enticement. I couldn't resist. There's a cigar shop there, bloody pricey though.
Two hours looking at handbags, I nearly cracked up.
I kept going with my hand firmly gripping my D4, as you do in stressful situations.

Will definately be trying one of these soonish. Along with the Punch Punch and the Hoyo Epicure #2.
Have to say my fave robusto, in fact favourite smoke, so far is the R&J Escudos LE 2007 Maduro - If you haven't tried one, do!

Deano - What do you mean by 'plumey'?
Definition: Plume or bloom is a fine white powder or dust which forms on cigars when oils exude from the tobacco as a result of aging. Plume is a good sign that a cigar has been properly aged, and it can easily be brushed off. Not to be confused with mold, which is a bluish fungus that stains the wrapper.
