Look what someone decided to liberate from my car during the night. Apparently there is a spate of it in North London at the moment!
To say I was steaming would be an understatement - had to calm myself down ...took a look at the boy and not so bad now (sometimes it helps to remember what is really important).
Over £2K to replace from BMW  Will be going second-hand/pattern part route.

Ouch, even if it is nailed down they will find a way of getting it. I recall a spate of them stealing expensive alloy wheels from cars that they knew they couldn't steel. Sorry for your loss.

Make sure you let the old bill know that your number plate has been pinched. Someone could make use of it. I would bundle them in to a van and then take them out in to the forest and teach them a lesson. Bastards!:yell:

I feel bad for you. You seem to work hard for what you've got.
Where have people's morals gone?
Our society will return to the values upon which it was built because you will be an example to your son who will do the same for his children.

Thanks for all your comments, made me smile this morning
For some perspective there are far, far, far worse things in this world but it is still very unpleasant.
I spoke to the police again last night and they know of three that were stolen on the same night (all BMW front bumpers) and told me that have seen this once a year or so for the last few years.
The actual removal is very easy and they did a spotless job. I would suspect at least two of them and 5 mins or less. Not a screw or clip left on the floor.
I suspect that as current times get worse crime is going to get worse too.
Stephan - lovely comments. Not sure I know what time-frame it will take for society to get it's value-base back to the forefront though, a generation seem optimistic to me.

Just been away for a few weeks, sorry to hear about your bumper Monkey, least they didn't use a crow bar to remove it!! this can't be that hard for the police to solve..... any same model/year/colour bm's been in an accident in the area recently must be suspects, the police can access all models of that colour in the area easy, often it's the time and hassle of things like this that are the most anoying, hope the replcements not too pricey....

I guess the only bright side is that they did remove it surgically. Obviously a professional job that is only supported by unscrupulous repair shops that create the demand for the items. I've had two trucks stolen in the past and two other cars vandalized. That sinking feeling upon first noticing it is the worst.
Hope you get it all sorted without much hassle. Real pain in the balls!

Theft is a pet hate of mine as everything we own we have had to work for. My apologies to you good sir for having been the target of the crap that our society has raised (Yes we are all responsible).
That being said, now I understand why all the youngsters are not "Bumper to Bumper" down at the jobsearch, they've got their own! LMAO.:smoke:

Unfortunately too expensive on premium increases to claim (will put up the price of both our cars at this address forever!) so this is coming straight out of my pocket :(

There was pictures in a national paper the other week of this guy who had the wheels of his Bentley nicked during the night. Of course he replaced them then a few days later another Bentley was seen outside his house with the wheels again gone on them. The paper actually said they were not sure it was the car person's car. Understandable when in the background were at least 2 or 3 other identical cars.
What a street.
All stolen to order of course.
