So i made a visit into manchester today to pick up a humi stick (didnt find one :() and look around..took a trip to:
Selfridges - decent prices..maybe £1 overpriced max. gave me a free cigar box..quite a nice quality one as the guy was apologetic for not having humi sticks. nice bloke!
C.Aston - a quality smokes shop in the arcade. nice walk in humi with great deals on..lots of 'specials' and higher ranges. Patel, NUB, Bolivar, monte, RyJ, partagas..almost anything for reasonable prices.
Wide range of humis, lighters and cutters for all can be had for cheaper on the net.
Just thought i'd let yall hear :smoke::smile:

I need to have a look in there soon. You say selfridges wasn't expensive, last time I was in the prices were high. 33 pounds for a cohiba robusto. I wonder if they have lowered prices then

cohibas are but RyJ were around £12 for a no.2...£1.50 over c.astons which considering it is Selfridges lol.
the box they gave me is a nice one with a latch etc and has the 'whoosh' sound when closed..so im assuming will make a nice cheap humi once i have a stick in there :D

C.Aston and speak with them. im sure if you get a few there will be offers they can give you. Also, Arthur Morris in Bolton (about 45 mins on a bus form manchester) has good rep and is next on my 'to visit' list :)

sorry to tell you but if its a normal cigar box it will not act as a humi, if your looking for a cheap option go for a plastic box with a humi stick in it you will find plenty of threads on what to use

I shop in Astons all the time, real nice guys and we have a chat too. I think the prices are fairly reasonable too. Unfortunately Manchester city centre isn't very cigar friendly.

how do you mean matey?
i find albert sq. very nice for it, as well as picadilly (cafe nero is a fav with me)

Well, Piccadilly Gardens isn't the best place to have a cigar, it's too busy and people always comment, every time! Cafe Nero is nice enough but what I meant is there is nowhere (that I know of) like 10 Manchester St (ironic I know) or Hotel Du Vin. Outdoors are the only places you can really smoke and I don't find the hectic streets of Manchester very relaxing.
