OK chaps, I propose a little artistic picture competition for the summer. I have three good sticks nestled in their little travel tubes for the very best summer cigar picture posted here by the 1st of September.
Hope Robusto manages to get off a good one before he sinks into the moray of depravity that is festival life!!!
Just to kick off here is mine, taken last night as I was smoking a hand rolled number produced by Berta Corzo in November last year while she was living it up in Otley!

Very nice Nic. I'm not sure what it is, but something about the sillhouette and the hill-side lights kind of made me think of somewhere close to the Med.
Even I'm not sure if I really worked that out, or just guessed in my head and am now bullshitting... :hmmmm:

Lol yeah the cruise took in Ireland (Dublin and Cork) Spain ( Bilbao) and France (Brest). As well as the trini I experienced my first behike I had a load of trouble with burn but I think this is cause it was very windy at the time but the flavour was immense. I have a wedding to go to next week where I plan to smoke another and hopefully give it an environment better than the ships balcony. So can not wait.

This was taken while sitting on the upper balcony of the John Rutledge Mansion while vacationing in Chalreston, South Carolina.
On a side note, I took this picture because as I sat enjoying my cigar and Port I was having a good laugh at the fact that every other minute or so tourists would stop and snap pictures of the house. No doubt they thought I was some sort of rein-actor; what with the grisly summer beard and cigar and all. :smoke:

Took the dog for a walk to cool off by a local stream (apple dumpling bridge). Not sure if he or the ducks appreciated my diesel shorty but i certainly did. Just have to watch him when i'm smoking and give him a treat as he sometimes thinks a cigar is a nice rawhide bone and i can't afford the two of us smoking lol

Day and a half to go.
My latest attempt:
http://i702.photobucket.com/albums/ww24/Humbert_bucket/IMG_9147.jpg
For those of you interested it's Studland Bay (Dorset) - the small beach, and that it one of Hamlets latest, rolled for me on Thursday evening at JJ Fox. Oh and it was absolutely fantastic, floral, almost herby and tasty to the very last.
I couldn't leave it and managed a caught and bowled while it was clenched between my teeth. Never missed a puff.

Teachers get six weeks off.
Here's near the start.
A Bolivar Royal Corona near the end of term and looking forward to switching off.
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/elton1984/latestiphoneload078.jpg?t=1283216581
Here's about half way through.
A RASCC on a dullish day before the Deer Park Stage at The Big Chill started to fill up.
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/elton1984/iphonecamera1bigchill013.jpg?t=1283216892
And here's near the end of my holiday.
Killing an hour backstage before playing to a voracious and sexually charged wedding marquee full of tumbling breasts somewhere in Kent. This was in a scratch band. No clue what was coming next. Relying on ears and wits. I have to say it's my favourite way of playing.
This was an NC and I've forgotten its name but it was a very rich smoke.
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/elton1984/cigarpregig.jpg?t=1283217126
So that's my holiday in three cigars. I could have made it hornier but bollocks.
Cigars beat Prozac any old day.
I shall patent that, thank you.

Right. . . Pictures taken.
Not too late am I?
I have three good sticks nestled in their little travel tubes for the very best summer cigar picture posted here by the 1st of September.
Phew, just hours to spare.
Now, what are the rules again?
My compo so I make the rules.
- Any number of pictures per person.
- Must be your picture (By you of of you)
Er that's it for now.
O.K. I think I can do that.
Surely it can be a bit tricky to take a picture of yourself. (Apart from those awful, at arms-length things which people only do when they are really, really pissed... or stupid...)
Humph! How dare you Sir!
Sorry, no idea how to embed these into a post, so will attach them like so . . .
Oh yes, just for a bit of background:
The pictures were taken on the West coast of Scotland last week - as far West as it's possible to go in a car on mainland Britain - and then a bit further - quite a bit further as it 'appens, on foot!!
Over a stream, up (and then down) a bloody (almost shear) cliff-face to a renovated 'crofters' cottage.
All 'Mod-Cons' included. . . assuming your definition of 'Mod-Cons' is a log burner and a selection of mouse traps.
You wouldn't believe how many trips it took me to carry my: Coffee machine, DVD Player, Projector, Cases of Wine and fine food etc, over that damn cliff!
Well, you gotta have a few little luxuries, doncha?
