Any Linux admin out there?

We've got a memory leakage problem, apparently, and I need someone with Linux admin experience to see if they can pinpoint the problem for me?

Not done much linux but been doing Solaris, HP/UX and AIX for the last 15 years cant be that different surely?? if it's any help.
If the mem leak is at the OS level shouldnt the hosting providers resolve that?

I suspect the leak is a php thing, but boss is correct, if its os level, hoster should fix
