A month ago or so,I've had some opinions about aged cubans...
Finally I get to smoke an aged 2000 Saint Luis Rey serie A...
It was my first aged cuban,well..it didn't had a strength of a young cuban, but it was mild, smooth and with a refined dry taste, with some
notes of anis.
The combustion was good..
It was a new pleasant experience

GC,

:becky:Cuban puros age better than any other cigar I've experienced. Since 2001, I have been labeling the last two cigars in each box and storing them in a special place in my Humidor. I have quite a few stored, the oldest being 8 years and the youngest being 2 years - based on the box dates. :deal:

I plan to age them a minimun of 10 years :clock:before I sample them.

what brand of your aged cuban do you have?

:41:The question should be, which brand haven't I aged. My oldest is a Siglo I and my youngest is something else - I'm at work :ranger:so I can't go to my humi to check. The most recent aged cigar I smoked was an Epicure No. 2, with about 4 or 5 years on it, based on the box date ( again, not sure of the age because I'm at work). The Epicure was so good with a little age on it that I immediatly bought another cabinet.

Actually, now that I think about it, I smoked a Cohibo Sublime EL 04 recently, which was excellent!:first:

I have a lot of NC cigars that have a number of years on them, but they don't seem to develop with age nearly as well the was Cuban puros do.

It's not easy to find, however, and perhaps you have even been there or passed through without knowing,:hmmmm2: as it can only be found in the right state of mind:hippie:, hence the name. But once you find it, you may never leave - it's nirvana.

Muchas gracias, senor Goldencigars, for your kind offer. However, I too have a box of Magnums quitely aging.

BTW, I am thinking of joining the Cigar Walk in April, if I can find a cheap fare at the last minute and a rent-a-dump. I would be happy to split the cost of a room if you or anyone else is considering jumping the pond. :biggrin1:
