Alright, my humidors stabilised at a healthy 68, my collections coming along nicely, but....

Virtually everything I've got is an hours worth of smoke at least. really don't relish coming back to a relit stogie, despite following all the tips on how best to do it. Just doesn't taste the same.

So for those (increasingly common) occasions where I've only got 30 mins or so, what should I buy?

Any suggestions warmly welcomed.

The eternal question! I like the RASCCs and Punch Petit Punch myself, and I've heard the Bolivar Corona Juniors are good too.
If you want cheaper, there's always the Partagas Chicos.

If you want to be sure to not have to rush your cigar (and thus avoid hot and acrid smoke), do not take anything bigger than the perlas and small panatelas sizes.
Most perlas are good: Siglo I, Monte 5, Petit Punch, etc.

Small panatelas: ERDM demi tasse, RyJ Petit Julieta, RyJ Sport Largos, Cohiba Exquisitos (pricey)…

I'd second:
Trini Reyes
Party Shorts

Both great in different ways.

IMO Cuba doesn't make many bad short smokes. RASCC will probably need some ageing, as will Monte 5s. Siglo Is are usually top class, and Petit Punch can be even better.

Go for any of them but be sure to try SCdlH El Principes, PL Montecarlos and (for the best short smoke I have ever had) JLP Petit Cazadores with 2 years age.... I kid ye not.

I've been wondering about whether to add some little sticks to my humi as I don't ever buy anything less than a robusto'ish size and sometimes during the day I can be pushed for time to finish 'em. My issue with a Trini reyes or Siglo 1 is that they work out to be almost the same price as my daytime robusto choices of HdM petite robusto/epi 2, RyJ short churchill or even a Party D4. I'm kinda of the mind that if I'm gonna smoke something that I'll finish in half the time then I don't really wanna be paying a great deal more than half the price. I know the Party shorts don't work out too bad and admittedly I haven't tried one but I imagine they may be a little strong for a breakfast smoke, day in, day out. If we were to call the HdM's and the RyJ's my breakfast smokes of choice, any suggestions on which tiddlers might offer the same strength/flavour profile?

(Don't mean to hijack the thread, it's just that I've been pondering this myself)

I know you kid not; these Petit Cazadores are really surprizing…
I'm also a fan of the PL Montecarlo, by far the best Q/P ratio of all habanos, but I wouldn't call it a short smoke: it takes me much longer than 30 minutes to smoke them as it's out of question to rush them…

Punch Margos, RyJ or Party Milfs ..... can't go wrong!

Yeah I'm surprised at the PL Montecarlo being mentioned! Takes me about 90 minutes to get through one, though I do agree they are great, even new.

[EDIT] Just ordered some JLP Petit Cazadores on the recommendations here. ;)

Got some of these in France last year but still haven't opened them...

Will wait a while longer before trying one then... :41:

I've got to say I've been enjoying the La Flor Dominicana Cheroots. Supposedly all ligero but quite tasty. Unfortunately there's only one place you can get these "Clint Eastwood" look alikes...
