Just finished a glorious Bolivar robusto - and I know I'm giving of a whiff of cigar from my clothes and my head.

Does this bother you at all when you whiff so, guys?

I never mix cigar smoking with my job - I hated my own teachers whose breath and jackets smelt leafy - and I'm at ease at home with the family, with mates and with the band. I'll have to shower and change before popping out to the ex-smoker buds this evening.

I just wondered because in bed the other night, a few hours after a fat stogie, my missus turned away from me because I had death breath, in her words.

She's very good. She doesn't moan about my smell much, although she does irritate me a bit because she says things like Have you just had a fag?

That annoys me, but she only does it because she KNOWS it annoys me.

Women, eh?!

No way I'm dropping the habit, tho!

I do not mind the "whiff" but I will always shower or clean my teeth before getting into bed if I have been on the cigars, as your right the wife complains about the Breath!!!!!

I cannot abide the smell that you used to get on your clothes, hair when visiting a night club the "ol ciggie ashtray smell" do not miss that about going out. Cigar whiff to me is quite different though.

Check the cigar cutter thread Mr Rob usto put a link in for you.

The smell of a cigar (ie someone else smoking one when you aren't) is one of natures wonders.

It's strange but I can enjoy it almost as much as smoking one myself.

Walking through London the other day I caught a whiff and spotted an old guy toking on a huge log, FANTASTIC!

Yes, it does bother me a bit. I can't abide folk who have that stale odour of cigarette smoke hanging around them like an old shroud, so I am a bit overly cautious as being percieved like that. I don't like the smell on furniture or clothes so I tend to puff near an open window, which can ruin the experience a little as you're trying to enjoy the cigar while cold air is slicing at you.

Breath is something to be careful of as well, I remember those times all too well when I've had a smoke whilst out drinking, forgot to brush my teeth when I got back, and woke up feeling as though Satan has taken up residence in my mouth.

I'm not a big fan of it. Once the smoke's gone stale it's pretty minging, although not quite as bad as cigarette smoke which I just can't abide.

I smoke in the kitchen where there are very few soft surfaces to pick up the smell and I try and keep the window open, depending on the temperature - this solves the problem with the room.

I also tend to wear the same old jumper each sesh and just hang it up somewhere to air afterwards.

I always clean my teeth before bed anyway (if you don't - you should; your dentist will hunt you down!) and I sometimes wash my hair for my girlfriend's sake but, to be honest, I usually can't be arsed.

Completely agree with Garibaldi that I wouldn't want to be wandering around smelling of stale smoke like that, although I nearly always smoke in the evening so it isn't really a problem.
