re live music: we do. Every Tuesday we have a folk jam. This is really musicians for musicians with anything between have a dozen and 20 pitching up and playing. Starts about 9pm.
We are the official fringe venue for Mostly Jazz Festival, Moseley Folk Festival and Moseley Festival so quite a lot of music in the summer. Halloween ie this Sunday, sees us host 360, local SKA band with a national reputation. There are 3 other bands in support. Gig goes on until 3am so be so to take Monday off!
In November we have ska, gypsy swing, rockabilly and other stuff, late on Fridays starting November 19th for 5 weeks culminating with a gig from the Destroyers.
Hope this helps. Anything specific you need to know, just pm me. Thanks Keith

Last Night's Best Rum in Brum witnessed my guests voting Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva as top tipple. It is truly delicious.
We had a bottle of the 23 yr old Zacapa XO - this is magnificent too but interestingly, it didn't make the cut as the ladies preferred the Diplomatico.

Jimmeh and I went through a phase of drinking Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva but went off it, at least I did. It is just too sweet and renders itself "dead" after a drink or two, it just kills the palette with sugars.

Hail the Prince !
20 past 12 - sun's over the yardarm & all that... the topic made me visit my bar for a 'snifter'. I had a wee Mocambo Solera which I havent touched for a while & forgotten how good it was - an excellent, not to expensive rum that I believe whisky drinkers will enjoy as I think they'll find the overtones from the barelling to their liking...

The more I hear about your establishment the more I wished I still lived nearby. Sounds like a magnificent venue.
