I might not normally have bothered .... But, I was at the Supermarket this afternoon and spotted 'em, the first time I'd seen the Coronations Tubos in the new branding.

You know I have a local Waitrose that I never go to and always promise myself to go and look for their cigars. I'm saying it loud and proud to force myself to go now I've seen those pretty tubes mmmmmm.

I checked out my local Waitrose today, they did not have the green tubed Punch's, only silver at the same price also some Monte's and R & Julietas.

I'm sure the Cuban branding is the same as any branding/marketing....coming up with ways to make you buy them. LE's, double bands, different size packs, tubos, pretty pictures.....all done to lure you in. As someone that works in manufacturing, I always thought marketing was bollocks until I got closer to it. It is complete ephemeral fluff, but when you get it right, it makes a difference, but they all speak total wank!

Think I kinda agree T. It looks OK on the bigger Punch Punch, but I still think I prefer the silver ali and royal blue.

My local Asda sell these for a whole quid cheaper and the old silver tube too but the green tube taste much better and burn more evenly to me they also sell H. Upmann coronas junior for £5.28 bargain.

Waitrose also sell them on their site. I had the RyJ No.2 from there and it was fantastic, im a complete novice but it felt like it smoked just right. Had the Monte Petit Tubo which was unfortunately drier than sawdust

The tubos are made in Italy, by an italian company. The design/branding etc. is made by a graphic design studio in Madrid, Spain.

Mmm, heard good things about the Punch Punchs. For that price, I might have to make a trip to my local Waitrose at some point!
