Just started my weekend with a RASS in the pub beer garden. Supremely rich. Lots of the cocoa/vanilla going on. Lush. First time I'd smoked one in front of my workmates too.

Got things warmed up with a Guantanamera Crystale earlier in the evening and just working my way down an aged Punch Churchill (Tubed).

I bought a dozen or so of the Crystales back from the motherland (in addition to others) with the intention of giving them away as gifts: smoked most of them actually:p I don't often post up that I've smoked them as they're not really considerd 'up there' with lots of others, but for me they're raw but not rough. Loosely constructed and soft towards the end, but full of young flavour, unsophisticated if it makes sense. I suppose 'cheap 'n' cheerful'.

The churchill has been great so far. All the opposites actually: not cheap and not cheerful, not raw, but mature. Great firm ash that seems to burn down in rings, quite interesting to look at. A fairly mellow smoke this one, and creamy. Nicee:41:

Edit: That mellowness blended into rich, earthiness down the stick actually. A gigantic, almost two hour, smoke in the end: biggest stick I've smoked to date and I should have posted up later than I did. Very enjoyable. I'll try and get the ash ring added at some point.
