OK, so it's my turn to ask for some alcohol advice now.
My father-in-law likes the odd Cognac or Armagnac. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but he uses a warmer with a little flame to heat the glass, it really does turn it into an amazing drink!
I'm planning on buying him a bottle for between the £50-£60 mark, all suggestions welcome.

I don't suppose you happen to know what he has currently?
It'd give an idea of the direction to point you in.
If he smokes, both Davidoff and Hine do a cigar cognac (around £50/£60)
This is a good site for a wide selection.

p.s. If your interested in a slighly smaller bottle (35 instead of 70cl), you could do a lot worse than this one (a classic).

I'm afraid I can't be of much mroe help. The last Armagnac we were drinking together was dusty and from 1958! Wish I could remember the name.
I never see the "big names" in his cupboard like Remy Martin, Martell or Hennessy.
Edit: He doesn't smoke

Armagnac - now we're 'cooking'.
My personal favourite producer is:
Comte De Lauvia
(Though there are quite a few)
The 1987 is a good buy (Under £60), but if you're looking for something as old as a 58? They tend to be around the £200 mark.
(They go as far back as the 1880's - For the 'thick end' of 3K!!!)

Many thanks!
So this (http://www.thedrinkshop.com/products/nlpdetail.php?prodid=4450) would be the drink in question?
Looks good, and I've see a lot of praise for the producer.
This may well be the one unless anyone else cares to chip in?

That's the one.
There are more good recommendations in some of the older threads
(Worth having a look back)
If you're not in a desperate hurry, I'm sure you'll get a few more suggestions.
(There are quite a few members on here who like a cognac - or two - or three).
