Regius Cigars

Hi all,
Introducing a new brand exclusively to the UK market! We have made exclusive, aged Cuban seed tobacco from Nicaragua into 4 different blends.
Check out www.regiuscigars.com (http://www.regiuscigars.com) and www.facebook.com/regius.cigars (http://www.facebook.com/regius.cigars)
The UK has a great cigar smoking tradition and we are proud to be the first people blending cigars exclusively for the UK. Our tobacco is grown in Nicaragua by one of the world´s most respected tobacco growers – Nestor Plasencia. Nestor is a 5th generation Cuban tobacco grower and he is extremely enthusiastic about the blend we have created.
Check out http://www.regiuscigars.com/story-of-regius/production/ and the photos on www.facebook.com/regius.cigars (http://www.facebook.com/regius.cigars) to find out more about the brand, the factory and how we make our cigars.
Would love you guys to try some and get some reviews, we´ve had some great ones so far but would love the discerning members of UKCF (and friends) to get a chance... So we are doing a free cigar promotion, just follow the four simple steps below:
1) Go and buy a Regius Cigar from one of these shops http://www.regiuscigars.com/where-to-buy-regius-cigars/ (complete with map). Please note the different strengths of the different blends here http://www.regiuscigars.com/th-regius-cigar-range/ when making your choice.
2) Smoke it, take some photos (doesn´t have to be just the cigar, maybe where or who is smoking it) and get some thoughts down.
3) Join our facebook group, put the photos and your review on the wall.
4) Email us your address promo@regiuscigars.com, quoting your review and where you purchased the cigar, and we will send you an envelope containing the same cigar!
Valid one per person, first 25 reviews.
For further enquiries, please contact us at info@regiuscigars.com
Also check out our blog http://www.regiuscigars.com/news-blog-2/, one of our guys currently in or around the factory so pretty interesting stuff.
Happy smoking!

Um... Hi there... er.. Regius.
Nice to meet you.
I wonder... could I offer you a piece of, well-intentioned, advice?
(Not waiting for a reply)
I mean, were all BOTL here after all, so hopefully you won't take this the wrong way, but... your approach comes across as a little... forward. If you don't mind me saying so.
It's not that we're not pleased to make the acquaintance of a cigar manufacturer you understand... it's just that... perhaps you might consider a little 'chit-chat' first?
An informal introduction... perhaps some small talk... a bit of.. 'getting to know you' maybe? - before you leap in promoting your wears.
After all you wouldn't walk into a bar and shout "Alright ladies, who wants to sample my fine Puro?" and expect to receive a favourable response would you?*
Just my 2 cents.
*If this technique works though... just think what I could have saved on buying 'em drinks?

...also this is a 'buy one get one free' offer as I read at as opposed to 'free cigar' that you titled this post.
FYI - previous brands coming (or thinking about coming) to the UK market have simply sent out cigars (which may be considered fair exchange for the reviews and subsequent publicity).

Hi and greetings from Nicaragua where clear blue skies are the order of the day and it is a pleasant 28 degrees. I am in the factory at the moment and they have just put up a Christmas tree and lights. Photos later.
Ok so regarding free cigars. I love free things too, but unfortunately we are not a huge company so obviously have constraints. However, this has generated a lot of views (more than I thought) so with some like minded cigar fans, we could organise a tasting session?
I am back in London for a while in December and would be up for meeting and smoking with you guys (women welcome also) (this clearly goes against everything I was told in school about meeting strangers on the internet, but what the hell). However, since HM government doesnt like people having fun smoking inside and the weather is quite likely to be cold, can anyone suggest a location, indeed if people are up for this?
I will bring some cigars. Yes, free.

Apologies for the delayed response, I am still recovering from Friday night.
Madsens are about the same prices as the corona and Grandidos are 15ish quid. However different retailers will vary.
I know Jayems in London is quite good, as is Davidoff and G. Smith on Charing Cross Road.

Nic, I grew up in NW London, for all my sins attending QE in Barnet. How is everything up there these days? World away from Nicaragua Im assuming!
I like G Smith plus the guy who has that shop used to have Shervingtons as well but had to close because of the powers that be :( so like to support him.

Just had a regius cigar, was gifted to me by one of my london smoking haunts. Now I'm not an NC lover, but this actually wasnt a bad cigar. Nice lot of NC spice, decent strength and progression throughout the cigar. It managed to stand up well against the cold and the winds too... not too shabby!

Hey, thanks for your feedback! Which cigar did you try?
Always trying to improve, had soem good reviews from people about the Robusto actually, it is more full bodied and frequent smokers tend to prefer this.
Got some new blends which were trying to sample over Christmas if youre interested...
