BOTL = Brother Of The Leaf
SOTL = Sister Of The Leaf
Basically, an affectionate term for a fellow cigar/tobacco connoisseur.

It had me confused too when I first joined about a month ago. I'm still having to think when it comes to some of the other acronyms and abreviations!

Was one of the first questions I asked(privately) on here. The other abbreviation that still baffles me is when cigar vendors are referred to as "B&M's"

Yeah, it's one of those things that seems impenetrable when you first start reading them, then after a while you can probably work them out (especially the cigar names) just from experience. That's the point when you're in too deep. :D

It's a US term I believe. We would probably use the term 'high street' shop or similar. It means a proper shop you can walk into rather than an internet one.
