I'm afraid Robusto and Boss hog you are both categorically wrong with regards to The Nolans, Bucks Fizz and the Aussie poodles! Whilst arguably tasteless and cheesey none of those songs deserves the banner of shite... in fact I'd go as far as to say they are musically not far short of genius. Granted some of the lyrical content is weak... but it is pop - what do you expect?

I think Robusto if you transcribed those melodies and chord structures and lost all the tacky styling and dated arrangements you have to secretly admit that you'd be impressed. Simple but brilliant. lol
