Nice sunny day, I thought I would take the opportunity to take a cigar with me on my walk from the studio in Regents Park into Marylebone High street where I had to drop something off and this got me thinking...Walking or Sitting still, how do you prefer yours.

I have to say it was fairly windy and I suspect this made the burn a bit faster than usual (and judging by the shape of the ash; which got very pointy)

So I sat on a sheltered bench and watched the world go by.

How do you prefer yours?

I prefer sitting alone outdoors with a drink and taking my time real slow. I like to think and relax and watch the world go by.

Definitely sitting down, preferably outside in the sunshine with a Hoegaarden or a nip of sloe gin :top:

Sitting, chilling and thinking (of not much/sometimes lots). Quite like driving with a stick too.

The warmer weather seems to make the cigar taste better to me.
Definately sitting, relaxing and preferably looking out over the seashore somewhere nice and warm.

Hola Senor Nicwing,

:nerd:Regarding your question, I guess it comes down to how much you respect your fine puros:dong:.

To truly maximize the enjoyment of my finest, I prefer doing nothing, nothing at all, other that enjoying the pleasure of the finest leaf in the word - Habana puros. :41:

:hand:I leave the walking, talking and mowing shit to the many non-cubans taking up valuable real estate in my humidor. :damnmate:

:bandit:Names TJ, TJCoro, and I don't mix smoking my finest puros with anything else.

Sometimes I am just like TJ. Excluding all else as I try to connect with that beautiful creation which is a cigar.

However some of my best times have been when I have had the chance to share the experience with a good friend. Comfortable chairs, tried and trusted company with a ready "barman" has elevated my enjoyment to the level of great memory.

I choke if I walk whilst smoking a cigar. I try, but I just can't help it and it ruins the experience.

Sitting. You might as well have asked the same question about a pint of Guinness to my mind!

Definitely sitting down relaxing, never considered a nice cigar while walking.

Got to agree with most of you, prefer my cigars whilst sitting - it's my zone out time!

Have to say I love walking from my house along the sea front here on a good day. I do like walking alone and with my thoughts. It's a great feeling.

Touche', Mr. Peanut, Touche'!:fight:

You found the hole in my statement, sir.:congrats:

Names TJ, TJCoro, and I forgot:hmmmm: the pleasure of a comfy chair and a cheery chat with fellow aficionados of the leaf.:top:

I enjoy sitting in the yard with a cold drink and I nice stick. I don't often take a cigar for a walk. I will take one for a drive once in a while, it makes the ride so much more enjoyable.:biggrin1:

Right, and for me...the puro less. :car:

Leave the driving for your less expensive, non cubans. You know...like the kind Mr. Larry smokes :mullet:

But that's just me.

Wow!!!! Sat in the garden on the deck this morning and the sunshine was fantastic, had my self a lovely little Ramon Allones Small Club Corona and Coloumbian coffee. I hope that the weather stays the way it is until winter!!!!:der: It will be raining next weekend. You cannot beat sitting out smoking a nice cigar in the sun just lets hope the weather is good for our HERF in London in April bring it on.

I guess if it is a nice sunny and NOT windy weather, would be fine, but any other time like all of you I preffer to sit down comfortably in my chair, play santana and just browse the forum or a few other websites for news/gadgets and stuff.

I've got to be sitting down, be it in the car, backyard or a lounge, but I physically don't enjoy a cigar if I'm moving around with it. A cigar is the way I unwind. :41:

sitting down with a beer or two

Sitting down definately. But have smoked cigars whilst walking he dog, pleasant, but not as good as sitting back and relaxing. :41:

Would go further and say I enjoy smokng indoors most, outside on a warm lazy day is just fine, especially after a BBQ and some fine beers to hand. But in any more than a slight breexe, the lovely smoke departs too quickly and that is part of the joy for me, the aroma and watching the smoke lazily drift around. (Yeah I know, :der:)

The room needs a smoke cloaker or ventilation to be sure, I don't like choking in smoke either, fussy or what!

Sitting is my preference but a fine, sunny day and a nice walk is very pleasurable too (just no f**in fun in the snow).

Always a sitter downer, as it were. I agree with the sentiments of many on here that part of the char of the cigar is the immobile relaxation it affords.

I prefer to sit down with a drink but there's plenty of worse things than enjoying a walk with a smoke. I quite like to smoke in the rain but really need a bigger bill on my cap for that to work well.:smoke:
