As requested by Robusto some months back, finally sorted it.


Click on the Googlemap ME at the top of the forum if you want access, or click here: http://www.ukcigarforums.com/vbgooglemapme.php

Click 'Your entry' to add yourself. Zoom in and click where you live and it will auto update the X/Y co-ords.

One thing to take note of.
"URL of the image for the marker" is an image that appears along side the maker. Do NOT under any circumstance link to any web address that doesn't end in an image. E.g. dean.jpg, dean.gif etc. Any link to a URL that then fetches an image (like a .php ending) will break the whole thing!

If you want an image uploaded, email it to me: dean.pullen@gmail.com

There's also a My Location link to the right of everyone's posts. But this currently only takes you to the map overview. Doh.

Damn it, wasn't turned on. Just turned it back on.

Huge map based on visits around the globe etc. When we have some data in it (doh) I will let u guys have a play for a laugh.

I'm really obsessed with maps and where people are.

Me too. I have Google maps on my Nokia N95 and I can't stop fiddling :tongue:

I won't get a GPS thing for the car. Tomtom et al. I have a great sense of direction. Bandmates use them for gigs and still end up driving to the wrong towns. I walk around thinking I'm facing North, or whatever.

To be honest, I got pretty close to showing my current location but then chickened out. I think Robusto might be mad at me. Of course, e already has my address...:eek:

Thanks Dean, let us know when we can add locations. Great feature imho if people use it, makes herfs more likely! :849:
