Just opened my first bottle of Monkey shoulder blended malt scotch whisky and i have to say i was very impressed. Very smooth and rich with a nice sweetness. Been a while since i've had a blended whisky this good. Not a bad price too! :top:

This caught my eye a few months back but I had a good stock of whiskey in the house. I'm now looking for something as a stop gap before a more expensive purchase and this could be it. Cheers.

I'd put it under the category "good for the price", it won't blow you away but it's a good everyday whisky (not that I drink whisky every day....)

Always a nice moment to land on a blend which pleases the palate. Best thing to do, if it continues to amuse, is to do some research into the base malts and then grabs some 10cl miniatures and see if there's a pure single malt flavour within which really captures your attention.

+1
But I have friends that think it's fantastic. So each to their own.

10cl miniatures ???? Kininvie as a single malt is unavailable to the GP & it's that not the Glenfiddich or Balvenie that gives it it's main character!
IMHO just a Speyside marketing ploy..........:biggrin1:
