Hiya name's cully and i just thought that i'd be wise to find a nice uk forum to do with Cigars as i'm off on holiday to cuba in 4 weeks, and i want to get involved with trying a few different leafs when i'm out there, a little inside info goes along way (it'll stop me wasting money on bad smokes) i'm a casual smoker and i've only ever smoked a 5-7 cigars in my life. also i'm thinking of bringin a few cigars back, but i'm not sure which ones would be best ?? i mean is it illegal to bring certain brands back and is it illegal to maybe purchase to order a few if somebody asked me to bring them some back?? looking forard to your responces
cheers cully

for sure, it looks like you guys really know your smokes, i went into a tobaconist today to see if they would like any brought back to order, but the guy said it was illegal for him to sell them if they're not purchased from a dealer, damn shame really. the thought of a cigar and a sip of wiskey sounds nice and i'll defo be trying that out for sure :41:

Welcome. 50 per person are allowed. They're not cheap though, not even in Cuba!
DONT buy off the street. DONT buy more than you're allowed.
KEEP your receipts.

we managed to find a really cheap holiday in varadero leaving on the 24th of april, really excited about going there, i was a little put off by a few things, but after talking to a few people who'd been over there, i've heard nothing but good reports. regards to prices of cigars how much cheaper are they over there compered to here?

Welcome Cully,
Hope you'll enjoy your time here mate.
Like they say, don't buy off the street and don't be tempted by any of the resort staff either: the cigars are usually snide in very, very good packages.
Whereabouts in the world are you?

Welcome,
As long as you like what you bring back it doesnt matter what they are, I would look into storing them in a humidor when you get back. I did exactly the same and nearly had nowhere to put them. As I know now it would have ruined them.
