If you can't make it, just zoom in on the map to Deal. We'll be in a bar close to the pier.

Actually I've just spoken to Paul and we will do this another day because it's raining here now and has gone cold and grey. Like at the Mongeham pub that night in fact, Nic. Like a thousand cancelled barbecues. Still, we're only about ten miles apart so can convene at the drop of a hat, really. Shame. :frown:

Can I just say again, as I take my lowered mood into the shower...
Why the fuck can't we go inside a pub and enjoy our civilised habit in deep leather seats looking out on the rainy seashore?
I've smoked some solitary Punch and Partagas in that very hostelry where the awnings are in the photograph when I've wanted to escape for a quiet time over the years. Or with mates.
Why are we denied?
I must make sure I don't bust blow a gasket over this again, Marvin Gaye.

Such a drag. My smoke shack was commandeered by my missus and some mates to make a special book for a friend of theirs who is passing away in a hospice. I couldn't kick em out in the circumstances so that we could man smoke in there, Dawg. In more jolly circumstances we could have done.
My son has just had a Blackberry delivered to Deal so I took the time to drive up and down to London in the heavy showers this afternoon to take it to him. I want one of those now!!!!!
I have to say being alone in good flowing traffic with DJ Shadow up pretty loud and smoking a fat bastard on the way NW, and another fat bastard on the return SE, was just what I needed, really.
Paul - I have two weeks off work from next weekend. We'll be able to arrange something before the London herf. And I want to see your new humi because I need to plan to buy one!

lol CoIV. :biggrin1: I love DJ Shadow!
Thought about driving across the Thames from Kingston to Twickenham to the Casa del Habanos but realised the traffic in London was at a crawl, and that I'd walk out having spent and smoked far too much! I'll do that another time. The area for lolling around with stogies looks smart.

Another shadow fan here as well, Entroducing...
Suprised, I never put you down on that type of music robusto. don't take that the wrong way, just not many middle age blokes normally go for it.
Cohiba and robusto try Madlib Beat Konducta, a lot like DJ shadow, but better instrumentals.

I'm educated by my younger son in all sorts of dance stuff. He's into drum n bass and DJs around. DJ Shadow is quality stuff.

Ready for a Massive Smoke, my man!
Going to look at a free brown leather 2 seater sofa for my smoke shack first. Fingers crossed.
It's in Dover so I might never be heard of again...
Tell the wife the details are on my msn if I vanish.
Adieu. :biggrin1:

An AWESOME brown/black leather sofa for the shack.
Cigar man's paradise is ever closer!
Free through Gumtree. A mate with a van helps move Saturday.
Cigars will do to celebrate, Paul. :biggrin1:

Splendid, it was!
Firstly because I picked up this sofa for nothing for my smoke shack:
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/elton1984/ABCD0003-11.jpg?t=1238536995
Secondly because Paul the DAWG and I met up for our herf and did the business.
We spent between 6.30pm and 10.30pm in easy conversation and frequent laughter over a couple of fine cigars each and a couple of beers each. You can see some of the evidence below. Please play Spot The Stogie and Name That Brew.
Excellent to meet you, Paul. Fantastic when posts on a forum morph into meeting up properly. We will definitely be doing this again somewhere on the ten mile journey between our respective humidors and smoke sofas. :smoke:
I had no idea of the time, and I did not look at my watch once all evening. :biggrin1:

Herf pictures really amuse me. Blokes sit at beer garden tables, pull on cigars, have beers. On the table is always the spread of evidence of the dreadful habit.
I find it funny. I really do. Please forgive me. At the same time as knowing a great time is happening.
I'm tinily into model railways, but I wouldn't join a forum and meet up like this at a pub. Weird prospect.
All my trains and track are in boxes in a wardrobe. I don't hunt them out of their cardboard boxes and give them a deep sniff daily.
Thank the Lord for cigars, Paul! Chaps!
A great night that will keep me chuckling all day, mate.
And thanks for the forum, Deano. :biggrin1:

Brian what a great night and fantastic to meet you at last, if not somewhat cold towards the end. I really enjoyed our conversation and the fine smokes that we had. Like you I was not aware of the time got outside in the car park and it was 2230 didn't get in till 2300. I am so glad we had the chance to meet, we must set aside some more time to herf again. We spoke about the London herf, it cannot arrive soon enough for me. To have the opportunity to meet at least 11 other members of the forum wonderful. I would like to echo your thanks to Deano what a great place this is. In the Orwell Cigar shack next time with the leather sofa!!!! sounds so wrong!!!!!
I was nicotined out on the way home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woo Woo Woo trains go trundling by!!!!
