Looks like I'm going to be in Birmingham tomorrow, can anyone recommend a cigar shop or any general places of interest?

Will be a family affair so tips on good places to eat will be appreciated.

John Hollingsworth in the Great Western Arcade is the best cigar shop, it's the small covered arcade at the rear of Rackhams. They have a walk in humi which is pretty good. Selfridges in the Bullring have a small selection too but silly prices.

As for food it depends on budget and preferences as there's a whole host of great places. I would personally recommend Jo Jo Lapas which is a Nepalese / Indian fusion place on Great Charles street - very nice food. If booking well in advance Purnells or Simpsons do Michelin star food but they will certainly be out for tomorrow.

Don't forget there is a Hotel du Vin too with a smoking area.

In the city centre it's mainly shopping but if you have kids with you the Think Tank at Millenium Point is a good distraction, also the 3D IMAX there. Brindley Place is also worth a wander around, loads of canalside pubs and eateries away from the bustle.
