So i've just finished cleaning out my humidor (had some mold in there previously) and had to throw away a couple of sticks (luckily not anything special)..

I was looking for around 10 sticks that would be ideal for a newcomer like me, if you wanted to get me hooked on cigar smoking what would you give me to try? Doesn't have to be Cuban i'm looking generally to get an all round taste :) The 'perfect cigar taster pack' if you like.

Thanks guys, have fun dreaming up those perfect smokes :smoke:

All good advice from Berry!

The sampler that got me and a good few others on here started was THIS ONE (http://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/introduction-havanas-sampler-p-3291.html)from C.Gars

The Punch band design is copied from the royal coat of arms of Spain.
The inscription "Provedores de la Real Casa de Espana" is shortened to RE

James Suckling said before that it stood for "Royal Edward". I think this is incorrect. When would a king or a prince ever be addressed or even referred to as "Royal Edward"?

Ryan - I think I believe your version more than Suckling's

To be honest I'm just quoting Min Ron Nee.

I haven't seen any new info since Nino(?) posted a good few months ago. As the book is apparently over 1000 pages, I'd better get saving...it wont be cheap....:)

I just re-read Nino's site here http://www.flyingcigar.de/friends/2010_08_min_ron_nee_ii_edition_update.php and the book could be as much 2000 pages. That's gonna cost £250+ I reckon!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions guys.. Interesting info on the cigar band also..

What's this book your discussing, it sounds like it's going to be expensive at 1000-2000 pages?

Hey buddy - it's a 1000-2000 page sequel to the cigar bible by pseudonymous author Min Ron Nee

The origianal is a bit out of date now but it's cigar-porn at it's very best. Check eBay or Amazon but expect to pay around £100!!

Here's a thread I started a while ago with details (the links may be dead though)

Likewise! Schoolboy error, I apologise. The site had a UK flag on it so I was just wondering if anybody had experience, anyway it's dealt with now!

No worries at all chaps! The two of you seem like thoroughly decents coves and I knew it was just rookies finding the way :)
