cohibaIV

WHY???

Mr Moore
28-03-2009, 01:27 PM
MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Toyota's Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock were sent to the back of the Australian Grand Prix starting grid on Saturday after stewards ruled their cars breached regulations.
The governing International Automobile Federation (FIA) said in a statement that the upper rear wing elements of the two cars were too flexible and the cars were excluded from the official qualifying classification.

I meant to ask whether your win was "subject to the diffuser appeal"?

I see young Lewis is now up to 3rd due to Trulli overtaking under yellow flag, so if the diffuser appeals were succesful he could win....?!?!!???

Hello one and all,

Did anyone hear that Lewis Hamilton may be not allowed to race for the remainder of the Formula 1 season. Something to do with the stewards?

Gabriel

First of all, bloody well done to McLaren and Lewis Hamilton...WHAT a comeback from the back of the grid...how the hell do you develop two seconds in such a short period of time?
What a win and well and truly deserved.
<O:p</O:p
Can see Jenson and the Brawns making the most of the four weeks until the next race, and try to find that lost edge that they had not long ago.
<O:p</O:p
Lastly, get well soon Massa. I for one miss taking the piss out of you when you are on the track.

A great result, I don't care which of them win the championship.

A bit clumsy of Hamilton, not that he's anywhere in the chase this year :biggrin1:

Anyone here think J.Button is going to drive his little heart out?

Although it would be nice to see Barrichello take the win in Brazil.

Paulie
18-10-2009, 01:34 PM
Clearly this season is going to go down to the last race. Unless Barrichello has a disaster in the race today. Button will be lucky to scrape a point or two out of this race.

Kobayashi was quite lively to watch, I think he'll be quite the character ala Sato, if he gets a permanent drive.

rhashley
25-10-2009, 08:25 AM
Could it be Hamilton and Button in the same team next year? I wonder what offer Button turned down. I he asking for too much, or is the offer crap?

Paulie
25-10-2009, 09:13 AM
For the 2008 season Button was paid £10m. For the 2009 season he agreed to a 70% reduction in his contract and was paid £3m.

I would imagine due to the major success of Brawn GP winner both the constructors and drivers championship the new contracts offered would be substantially more.

My guess would be that Button as world champ would want to go back to at least his previous salary of £10m plus probably £5m more for being world champ and Brawn being constructors champs too.

The rumour is that this is a story leaked to the press as Raikkonen has been stalling signing with McLaren and Button has not been offerd the contract he wants. By releasing the story linking Button with McLaren it will speed up the negotiations of both teams to get the drivers they want. Raikkonen to McLaren and Button with Brawn.

just saw in the paper that button also said his own hotel and travel as part of the £3m deal. It would be a british dream team if they could
