I grew up loving the Beach Boys over the Beatles - their less known stuff, i.e. not the surf and car music everyone attributes to them.

Quite ironic as you're US based and I'm British!

Saw Brian Wilson in concert a few years back doing Pet Sounds from start to finish, amazing stuff.

I think one of the Beach Boys most amazing songs is "Heroes and Villians". After hearing it the first time, I read up on it and found out that in order for them to create the unique sound in the song, they recorded it in the bottom of an empty swimming pool. That song gives me goosebumps...I find it bizarre that it was never a bigger hit.
