MediaWiki ignores normal line breaks. To start a new paragraph, leave an empty line. You can force a line break within a paragraph with the HTML tags <br />.
[edit] Inserting Images
For an easy way to insert images, do the following:
1) Edit your page and type [[file:your_image_name.jpg|thumb]]
2) Save your page
3) There will now be a red link with your image name, click on this, and you can upload your image
4) Voila, your page will have a thumbnail of the image, which will then be clickable to the larger image
Remove 'thumb' if you don't want to use a thumbnail and want the direct image, but thumb's are usually preferable.
[edit] Adding to Smoking Areas
1) Use Google Maps to locate the smoking area
2) Once found, double-click on the pub/restaurant
3) In the balloon that pops up, click "more info"
4) Click 'Link' in the blue bar above the balloon
5) Paste the link into your entry
