I'm treating myself to a new laptop after christmas.
Thinking about a Asus G73sw/sx. Should handle just about anything.
Anyone have any other suggestions in the same price range?

After using a mac for a couple of years, I'll be the first to suggest a new mac book pro.

Hi Linfield, what purpose is the laptop for? Gaming, online/offline media or standard browsing/documents? I might be able to help!

I will Pm you certain websites to look on as well.

          Thanks for the advice guys.
L_DOG, I'll need it for general purpose messing about, somewhere to store and edit photographs (I'm just getting into photography) and I do like to play the odd game now and then, so I want something with a bit of oomph and a large screen.

I have sent you a PM to a website I recommend, including the laptop I have for an example. Trust me, you don't need to spend mega bucks on what you need.

"I do like to play the odd game now and then" Well that's the mac out of the window then

[Yeti desperately holds himself from getting into another Mac debate]

The laptop you put in you OP is the same series as the one I have and it's just awesome, I've always gone for ASUS, due to the way it's made it doesn't feel too big, however just be warned the battery isn't that good, think of it as a portable desktop instead of a laptop.
