  • Taken the plunge

Given the shortness of daylight and cold this time of year and a total lack of COSA's in my area, i have dived into the world of pipes and pipe tobacco, following the advice on here I purchased a corn cob and a tin of Dunhill de luxe navy rolls, and spent a most enjoyable 40 mins after lunch puffing my head off, seem to have got the loading of the bowl right first go as i only had to relight once after 5 mins, worked out to tamp it down reasonably firmly every time the smoke started to diminish, new hobby ahoy and a lot cheaper than Cubans, who am i kidding

Glad to hear you decided to get a pipe. It's a great way to enjoy some lovely tobacco on a budget. I've done things the other way. Started on the pipe and am now exploring the world of cigars. I still love the pipe though.

I'm thinking about getting a cob pipe. Would you say its worth it?
A cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

Definitely! Actually you should get 2 or 3 so you can try different tobaccos without ghost flavours.

How goes the pipe smoking? Try Dunhill 965 or Davidoff blue mix as a good everyday smoke. Also there is a guy on ebay that lists new pipes every week. They look good and he has 100% feedback. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/milley123d...&_trksid=p3984 this is the link to his page. Have a look and remember they change weekly!
