  • Geneva - Gesto Cigars

Off on hols in about a month snowboarding with the Missus and some chums. We'll not be too far from Geneva so I thought I'd suggest an afternoon or morning outing to my Missus who's not going to be on the slopes...

Does anyone know if the prices that I see on Gesto Cigars website are the same as I'll pay in store?

    Best check with them.

Indeed, it's no bother to drop the shop an e-mail, just wondered if anyone on the forum knew...

Actually, IN the shop, you can expect a 10% discount when you buy a full box… (depends on the cigar, it's generaly the case when you purchase a pricey box)

I didn't notice that, but it's been a few years since I was there. I wasn't buying pricey boxes though!
I had lunch with Joanne though, which was really nice.

I've always found the website prices a tad hit & miss. I think Joanne uses her own currency converters ;-) if you do see her, would you be so kind as to pass best wishes from Noah.

Gesto is one of my favourite cigar shops in the world and you absolutely MUST visit them. Funnily enough, when you look at the prices on the website, they do not appear that good value, but when you get into the shop, the prices are superb. They sell a huge selection of cigars in single sticks, all with a good discount on them. I would recommend you get in there and have a good dig around, you will not be disappointed.

Cheers Rod. Exactly the info I was looking for to help persuade myself to sacrifice a morning or a days snowboarding to go cigar shopping...

                        Will, I've found this:
It's never been easier to get from Geneva Airport to Morzine and back. From December to April there are up to 35 departures each day and every seat is only 24.50 Euros

btw, I would ask them if their bus is able to ride to the Avoriaz resort if the weather is bad (snow storm, etc.)

Perfect! Thanks SC... I'll check that out. Looks like it could be very useful indeed...
