BUL JUL 11 - very young, I'm so tempted to try one but know I'll be much better off leaving them til next winter!
The eternal dilema - but what if I really like them and should have gotten another box!!!

They look very nice. They are supposed to age well.

Lovely looking sticks. If you do try one let us know how it is, would be interesting to hear your comments on one so young
A cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

love the cohiba secretos!! a constant stick in my humidor!!

tbh, i've not found any great benefit in aging them!!! i've sticks from 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and i've not found any real difference in flavours or strength!! one thing i have found is that they're pretty consistant (though i have had a couple that have been plugged)!!!

hope you enjoy them as much as i do, best of luck with them mate!

btw, as the name suggests, the tobacco has already been aged 5 years!! i find they're great right out of the box (mind you, any box i've bought has had at least a year on them from they were rolled)!!

as i said, they're one of my favourite small cuban cigars, along with the trini reyes, party shorts and bolivar corona jnr!!

I agree with Alex, they are excellent and the year doesn't really seem to be that important. But, the plugging I also agree on, I've found dry boxing for a day or two usually helps.

            Enjoy Will.

I had 2 boxes plugged and have up on them (but I think I am in the minority).

Cheers Alex, been looking forward to trying these for a while. Glad to know you've certainly been getting on with them. I'll probably try one in the next week or so then we can add the experience of a 2011 sample to your (nearly) half a decade's worth of sampling!

2 whole boxes plugged, Monkey? That is a pretty shitty run on things...

                  Nice looking cigar??
I guess with the maduro wrapper there a lil stronger!!
Are they anything like the robusto or siglo's??
I find siglo's to be a lil milder in the cohiba range....

Smoked the Magicos with less than a year on them and they were a great smoke.

I've yet to try a Magicos but love the Secretos and Genios. I have found the Secretos to be initially very tight and loosen up with sitting 6-12 months.
