  • Picked up a new whisky....However, need some help!

    Hey guys!

So this afternoon, I was picking up some wine so wandered on to the Whisky aisle to see what was occurring, and stumbled across this. I had never seen it before, but the reason my eyes stopped at it was the price. $15 for the bottle! (Not sure why the pic is sideways!

Next to it on a shelf, there was a combo set with whisky, and a Glencairn glass for....$15! Bargain! I had wanted a Glencairn for a while, to which I would have paid more $15 for, so this was a steal.

I tried it a while ago, and.....its actually very good! It definitely doesn't taste like a very cheap bottle of whisky, and I would happily pay more than double that in the future. Great flavor profile, the only problem is, taste doesn't stick around for long at all.

So I went to the internet to see what I could find out about this, and to be honest...the internet is ver slim on information. It seems there i some controversy surrounding this whisky, but aside from that, there isn't much else to be found. So I'm hoping someone might have some information that might help, or failing that, better googling skills than mine!!

Thanks buddy, definitely a little to look at there!

Even knowing what I do about it, for the price, I will definitely buy another bottle. Its nothing you will ever rave over, but its enough to keep the friends happy when they're over and fancy a glass!

Its basically a free bottle of whisky as I would have paid that for the Glencairn alone!
