Still i plan to buy one in the near future so dose anyone have any suggestions on a good cheapish ?150 one and maybe some tobacco suggestions too.

?150 will get you a decent one for an hour or so. Or two shabby looking ones. Wear protection! As for the tobacco suggestion, have a cigar afterwards.

With a pipe you have access to a huge choice of different tobaccos, blends, mixtures, etc. You may even order your own blend, made to your specifications…
With a hookah what can you smoke? Cheap tobacco soaked with vanilla/melon/strawberry/etc. extract… bleh…

In my experiences, the sickly sweet and funky tastes of the substances smoked in one of these nearly made me chunder, definitely cheap tasting and I'd reach for the pipe any day. Having said that good for entertaining mates ect and mucking about with the good smoke-yield

Ive got one, more for ornamental purposes. Ive never used it but plan to one day.
It came with some apple tobacco that went out of date 6 years a go. I thought of crumbling a plugged cigar into it to test the thing out. Never got round to it, but this thread has revived my curiosity. Will report back.
