Since we UnitedStatesians are forbidden the pleasures of Cuban cigars, I fear that virtually all my stogie experiences are with the less estimable Dominican, Ecaudorian, Honduran, and Nicaraguan vitolas.

So, I guess I'm looking for a few mates to have non-Cuban discussions with.

Unless, of course, any of you Brothers-In-The-Leaf are willing to help out this underprivileged Yank by risking illegal contributions to expand my cigar horizons.

Would also be interested in your experiences! Non-cubans are under-reviewed over here, complete opposite of the States.

Do you think there is a chance of negotiations of the Cuba front now Castro is disappearing?

I'm rather fond of almost everything that Carlos Tora?o makes.

        Rocky Patel Sun Grown.

Then, oddly, a couple of El Cheapo manufacturers who happen to make superior stogies: the 5 Vegas Classic and Gold series, and Don Kiki Red (from Cuban Crafters Tabacalera Esteli).

I recently tried an Arturo Fuente Anejo for the first time and it was fantastic. It is essentially the same as an Opus X (as they use the same tobacco) but the wrapper is aged in cognac barrels. Very pleasant smoke.
Business in the front. Party in the back.

I 2nd the Torano line. I bought a box of Exodus 1959 double corona's a few years ago and still have some left. They are a nice long smoke (for me anyways) and have mellowed into a really smooth cigar.

I just recently bought 2 Rocky Patel samplers from CI. It was almost a steal. I have never had any RP cigar before so I am really lookin forward to them.

Another NC favorite of mine thats pretty inexpensive is the Hupmann Vintage Cameroon. I nabbed the lonsdales and man they have the perfect spice to them. Another cigar that has aged beautifully for me.

The guilty pleasures I have thats NC of course, is the La Aurora perferidos. They are dam expensive but everyone has to indulge every now and then right? I found the treasure box sampler at famous-smokes.com for only $67!! Usually they go for $100. If i ever got bombed a box of these I'm sure I'd never get to enjoy them as I'd die of shock lol

The three Alec Bradley 'Spirit of Cuba' I had off Monte were a very acceptable smoke, of which I'd go back to. Although not having massive experience generally, I did find this Robusto pleasant enough.

                          Hey mate,

Most of my stock is NC as I get sent it over from the family in NY and pick a fair quantity up myself when over. mind you when I came over back in Aug I wasnt to familiar with some of the brands and picked some horrid things up, such as El Mejor Emerald & black pearl.
I have a great love of the acid range, have you tried them? Although like yourself with cuban, I impossible to get them over here.
