  • Hello...

Hi, this is my first time on here...Help. I'm scared!!! Seriously, been hanging around a few forums from the US and I have to say how nice it is to find one here in the UK. I am afraid I am a bit of a Cuban snob. Been smoking cigars for about 10 years now. Anyway, hi everyone and hope to chat more soon.

    The Big 300

Hi AWAC, I've been here for about 6 months and this is a great place.

It's like anywhere, work your way in slowly, watch out for the whack jobs and the Mexicans, but they are a really friendly bunch (just look at the picture on the front page, not a joining eyebrow among them).

I was saving my 300th post for something special, so here it is welcome!!

Now Deano, can I have a special reference like the big man???

          Welcome to the forum,

Have ever indulged in any of the non cuban brands or is that the reason for quite understandably becoming a monogamous cubanist now? if that is a word? if not I guess I just invented it.

            Thanks

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome. In answer to the question from Boss Hog,(Should that be Mr Boss Hog on my first day?). I took about a year off from smoking Cubans, thinking that maybe I could find something a little less expensive while still tasting good. Tried the Padrons,CAO's, Rocky Patels, La Flor Dominicana's and Oliva's...and many more. After months of this smoked one of my old stash...a sir Winston...That was that I am afraid. Back on the Cubans for good I think. Thanks again for the welcome.

Yo!! AWAC...lower the volume if you want to run with the big dogs here(smaller font, por favor) .

Welcome!!! And no apology necessary, senor. What you call being a snob, I call being a realist.

So let's get real, mates! Most fine Habana puros produced today are superior to most N/Cs I have tried. But in the end, it's a matter of taste, amigos, and there are a few N/Cs that I believe are on par with some of the finner Habana puros, such as the A. Fuenta God of Fire and this one from Davidoff

Given the choice, however, I'll choose the Habana puro over the N/C stogie every time - unless it a petit Eddy or something like that.

In conclusion, Habana puro snob, No Way! Aficionado of the finer thing in life, absolutely!!

But hey! What the bloody hell do I know? After all...

                    I'm TJ, TJCoro damn it!.

Could you write a nice poem?

I've got to slam it up the M20 to Sevenoaks now for some English beer and a bit of winking Patriotism through my stool and my Korg.

I'd like to think you'd strophed some off this evening by the early hours when I shall key-latch here again. Especially with all that E = MC squared up there in the sky high blue above yonder that is you, AWAC.

                      Any theme.
                      May I suggest an emotion?
Shall we run with misery, pet?

Did you think your entree would be easy?
With so many words in your stage name?

                      Why not Philter?...
                      Colibri?
                      Cheveta?
