  • The Cigar Bucket List.

I watched a film with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson called the Bucket list (A black comedy, about things to do before you kick the bucket) very funny. However veering away from the dark side.

What would be your top five to do bucket list, each with a different cigar!!

Yep, gss1956 already sorta now what yours will all involve.

    1. Visit the Cistern Chapel and smoke a Padron 1964 torpedo maduro annivesary (Smoked on the London walk)

    2. Walk the great wall of China with a Cohiba Millenuim Piramide. (never smoked)

    3. Jet boating in New Zealand - Partagas Serie P, NO 1, Pyramidas, not tried one but based on Robustos feed back its time.

    4. Motorbike (Harley Davidson) along Route 66 in the USA, smoke - Cohiba VI never tried.

    5. Revisit Canada, go to the USA to visit niagra falls, grand canyon, Las Vagas, California, yellowstone park, statue of liberty, mount rushmore, miami, new york and smoke as many of the American NCs I can get my hands on.

I would like to try a smoke that Dale had on the walk? Cuaba limited ???

Anyway just a few things yet to do, you guys will come up with more ideas and smokes, perhaps some of your ideas will inspire others to achieve them.

Idea is not to be black, but to encourage some ideas on best things to do and some best cigar smokes to do it with!!!!

    Robusto Partagas P1 & D4 with all I assume.

    Live Long & Prosper.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

    The Dawg.

Gotta be one of my top things too, the Route 66 thing. I'm thinking a car though for comfort heh.

I'd like to take 6 months off and properly go travelling, but that seems a distance premise, if ever possible.

          1) Route 66/Cross-country US
          2) Er TBA. This has got me thinking.

            Yes Deano.

Always been a dream of mine.
Have to be in one of those wiynibago type vans.
But got the Mrs and kids so I just can't see it happening till kids are older.
Def something to do with mates I think.
Did you see the John Gorum across America a couple of months ago.
            If..

Yeah I did, which furthered me wanting to do it. I'd love to see what's left of small town US before it all completely vanishes.

                Paul.

Me and my sons tanked up on Milaad Tandoori and then went there for clippage for the Director's Degree show.

Might well have been a porn shoot. All sorts of trans-gendered doggery gets shagged senseless on Dover cliffs.

Some 'normal' people even do it there, too.

Your question is really hard, Paul.

I seem to be in love with Partagas and Montecristo currently. I have to say I would be happy to smoke ANY cigar I find great in certain locations.

I think EXQUISITE cigars might be experienced best - as far as I'm concerned - with no external stimulus, and just me in silence with the cigar as a buddy.

The Partagas P1 and the Sublimes would be my whisky and fireside smoke moments. They ARE exquisite!

Bung me a D4 and I'm usually smiling like a silly cat.

                Destinations:
                • CUBA - Sorted. I'm there in six months because I want to experience cigars (and cigar culture) in the terrain the cigars grow on
                • AUSTRALIA - I'd love to set off in a van, but friends tell me to watch out. According to mates I trust, Pommie Bastards aren't so welcome over there. Things can get awkward...
                • USA - Well, I have a sister living miles from anywhere in the New Mexico desert, and I can escape to forgotten USA whenever I wish. I've had a ball out there on several occasions
                • ITALY - I want to spend some time there. I'm having a distant affair with her and I think it's about time we met
                • COTE D'AZUR, FRANCE - Apart from going back to New York, I love sitting back, drinking, talking, laughing, smoking cigars with French friends. I love to get lost in speaking French. It is a sexual thing to do. It's not Paradise in the South of France. You can't get on a beach in the holiday season. And yet... And yet... The food, the heat, the culture, the women, the scenery are all MAGNIFIQUES!

                  Great post.

Great post Stogiedog; will have to give this some thought but for sure i would like to revisit Nassau and smoke a Cohiba Robusto on the white sandy braches.First class.

MC Edmundo outside one of the small Tapas bars in Barcelona, not far from the cathedral.MC Sublime in Dubai, R+J Churchill in San Francisco.

Siglo VI at Monza race track. So many scenarios, will have to give it more thought.

Actually watched this film a while back myself, would need to have a good think for my final 5, would difinately include your No2 in my list in terms of the place to visit and what to smoke.

Think I would also have to include drinking a first growth wine while smoking a Cuban Davidoff, just to see if they both lived up to the hype and reputation.

Might be interesting to make an actual bucket list, think it's good to have personal goals to strive towards before you know what and plus it would mean more special cigar smoking moments once you achieve each of them.

Hold on to your hat's, here's mine ....

                          1. Visit Machu Picchu - The Lost City of the Incas. Sitting on top of the mountain citadel over looking the Urabamba Valley with a Acid Red KMV or Earthiness.

                          2. Somewhere in Cuba - Late afternoon in one of the old
colonial style buildings, Suitably dressed in a cream linen suit, white panama hat. Seated in corner of the room partially obscured by shadows with a small table holding a pot of freshly ground coffee and ashtray. The sun spiking it's way through the half open wooden slatted blinds highlights the dancing ribbons of smoke from my Cohiba Genios Maduro 5.

                          3. Monte Carlo Casino - late night at a private table, evening suits are the attire for the men and the women are wearing evening dresses dripping in diamonds and looking like Catherine Zeta Jones. The only voice that can be heard is that of the croupier, the stakes and tensions are high, Millionaires are create and destroyed at the flip of a card. I'm crap in the casino as you can see from my remaining money so I would be lucky to afford a hamlet. but If I could choose then probably a Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve.

                          4. The French Laundry Restaurant - Relaxing in the garden of what was voted the best restaurant in the world after experiencing Thomas Kellers 24 course tasting menu and a Partagas D4 for 'afters'

                          And finally ......

                          5.
Rio de Janeiro - High up in the outskirts of the city in a remote villa in a hot tub drinking vintage Dom P?rignon Ros? and Caipirinha's. Copious amounts of Columbian marching powder* served on a silver platter by a dwarf eunuch in a toga and laurel reef crown. Accompianied by 10 slutty hookers each with lesbian tendancies for intelligent conversation. Smoking the most expensive cigars known to man what ever they may be. Cost is not important to the sole winner of the Euro millions mega rollover week.

*Editors Note: Although I dont condone the use of recreational powders, if given 6 months to live I would go mad on it just to see what all the fuss was about.
