RM VSOP is a classic. You should drink it straight, at room temperature.

i've always found that a little ice with any cognac (or armangac), especially remy and hennessy, helps mellow it out and release some lovely flavours! as said hough, it is a classic, hard to beat!! saying that though, hennessy vsop is my go to cognac.....

Went to an event last night and drank Hine Cigar Reserve Cognac which was "most acceptable".

Apparently it was developed by Nicholas Freeman (Jemma Fremman of H&F's late father) and Bernard Hine to be the perfect Cognac for cigars. Unfortunately there was no smoking at the evening but the Cognac was great, after a couple of glasses of champagne and a Mojito.

hey nic, if you like cognac, check out hines rare vsop, beautiful stuff! it's around ?36 a 70cl bottle!

i'm always dubious about someone else's tailor made drink for cigars (such as the dalmore cigar malt and hine cigar reserve)!!! they are normally based on their tastes..... after all we are all different and have different experienceswith cigars and alcohol, taste ways!
