Lol, before you do, just make SURE that the reading's right. Also, keep your eye on the ball in case of anything that may change it.

Yep, same problem. I've been putting in small packets of silica pouches, one at a time for a few days, to bring the humidity down inside the humidor. I have also taken the water beads out, as the calibrated digital is always reading high. I've come to realize that instead of fighting humidity that is too low, I have to fight it being to high! I can't open the humidor door to let it air, as the room humidity is always higher. I also don't want to expose the cigars to mould spores.

It's very frustrating isn't it! - I bought a dehumidifier and sometimes put my humidor up close (without the cigars in) to try and suck out the moisture!!

Try the silica pouches...stop by a shoe store and grab a few out of the shoe boxes and put them in your humi. It will bring down the humidity in a few days. If it doesn't, put in a couple more until you reach the desired humidity. Takes a bit of experimentation, but it works!

Or get some beads, when they are no longer bringing down the RH dry with a hair dryer, then put back in.
