  • Gambling Problem.

I have a problem, i hate losing money and get carried away when playing slot machines, last night i lost lots of money on one, it's starting to bother me now, as it's happened many times before. This was a huge chunk of cash out of my pocket and a dent to my cigar funds, also being at a disagreement with my cigar retailer is not helping either as i'm not purchasing from them until the issue is resolved....
I know i could have bought at least 5 boxes of Behike 56 with what i lost in 4 hours last night....

Wtf am i doing...i'm so stupid arrrgghhh

Gambling is a serious addiction that ruins lives..seek professional help, sooner rather than later..

Gambling addiction, like addiction to pornography and other non-tangible vices differ from alcohol, tobacco and drugs in that the chase is not a physical dependency but the stimulation produced in the brain by the 'thrill of the chase'. "How can I get that next thrill, and make it better?" is the drive behind it all.
The vice, whether it be gambling, pornography, computer games etc. provides only the 'vehicle' to achieve the stimulation, viz. the 'thrill' is the addiction, not necessarily the vehicle.
There will be triggers that set the mind in action and instigate the chase, and it is identifying these triggers and managing them that will help manage gambling.

Seek help. Your GP may be able to point you in the right direction, or look up a local gamblers anonymous group. Good luck.

To my mind a gamboling addiction is far worse than one to alcohol. Accidents part, it takes yrs to drink yourself to death & functioning alcohoilics at least will usulaly still have a home & funds left to leave behind but gambling addiciton can lead to pennary ina very short time & must surely be harder to avid & get over than alcohol, especialy as it's now available 24/7 on the net & shops & heavily advertised by sports personalities that should know better.
Take the advice given above mate, the fact that you have finally told someone ie us, means your ready to acknowledge your problem, start seeking proper professional help now as there surely isn't an instant cure & you'll likely loose far more before you managed to give it up.

Holy hell......... A night of gambling or five boxes of 56's..............

I've never been much of a gambler. I spent 5 days in Vegas and probably only spent about $30 playing games, so i might not be able to speak from experience, but next time you're tempted to bet some big money, ask yourself if you'd prefer a nice box of Behikes instead. Might just work.

I was there mate, you are not alone. Good stuff on getting it out there, takes balls to admit there is a problem.
I agree with all these guys, chat with someone, even if its just talking with a good mate/confident. there is a better way out there
