Jobs?

Hey fellas,

so as ive said a few times, my wife and i recently moved over from Australia, and are now living in Bromsgrove. We are looking for some work for about 9 months, so just thought I'd ask on here if anyone knows of the best place to look for work or if they could point me in the right direction? I've got experience in hospitality (fast food, restaurent, cafe and I've worked as a barista), manual labouring, working on a few job sites over uni breaks, I worked in retail as well, spent the past 3 years in sales, marketing and event management and also have a degree in chemistry. Any BoTL's out there keen to help a brother out??

I suppose you realise, Alex, that you couldn't have picked a worse time to come to the UK looking for a job. In fact, many are currently trying to get into Oz because of lack of opportunity here. With hospitality experience, I suppose you could try calling personally at every hotel within a distance determined by you. The larger the hotel, the greater the chance of a vacancy. You will probably already know that staff turnover in hospitality is one of the highest. Sorry I can't offer more productive info. but good luck.

Yeh I think it's gonna be really tough outside of the big city's to find good work. Maybe would've had more luck in London

Alex, how about reversing the process and connecting with Australian Tourism Boards or Tour Companies in the UK or EU to get some connections of their local colleagues operating in the UK? Hang in. Don't give up.
