It?s remarkable that Rocky produces so many blends and brands, most favorably reviewed and highly rated, and spends 340 days per year on the road in factories and visiting customers. While tending to Decade, Vintage 1990 and 1992, Sun Grown, Connecticut, Olde World and many more, Rocky also manages to craft a variety of small-batch lovelies such as I-Press, Fusion, and Double Maduro.
So I guess it?s understandable that he gets one wrong now and then. The idea with Puro Cubano was to create a unique Dominican premium, his first Dominican blend in nearly 10 years - it was to be a potent, knee-knocking combination of first generation Cuban-seed tobaccos, an uber-full, demonstrably spicy blend. But it didn?t come out that way. Don?t get me wrong, this is a nicely constructed cigar. It?s just far less full, more medium-bodied, has some spiciness up front but lacks the intended zestiness and punch.
Smoked My first RPPC today and it had enough kick for a lunch time robusto!
I could taste the Domincan leafs as compared to NC. The region where the tabacco is grown has a very fine taste and differant.All in all I truely enjoyed this smoke Just my $.02 worth.
