So, it seems like its the week for becoming employed. My wife and I are moving to Oxfordshire on Friday to start our new live in jobs at a pub there, hopefully it will be worth the wait!

Hey Alex - pleased to hear your news - does it mean that you'll be hosting herfs in a purpose-made cigar lounge before too long ?

Preciously! Hopefully management like my style and promote me straight away, will have plans drawn up immediately.
The more likely scenario is ill be herfing in the freezing cold air.

Well done mate. I hope everything goes well.

Just get a thousand halogen heaters and fine chain fence. Sorted. May be a little too warm though

Trouble is Dave, Breweries, Landlords, Hoteliers etc. all piss about with cheapo solutions, generally canvas and patio heaters. Which if fine for warmer climes, but for Northern Europe I think the problem needs looking at from a more architectural and horticultural perspective.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Like a cannabis lounge ! Well, that includes the horticultural dimension, doesn't it ?

Not quite what I meant. Densely planted evergreens make excellent windbreaks and wire trained can make pretty good roofs. Plants also absorb carbons, so possibly even the green brigade might be pleased.

Well said, o kilted prophet. What were pubs will become Indian restaurants - so, perhaps, we should lobby them for herfin lounge annexes ?

Don't be silly Dave, that would imply several of them having the courage of independent thought. They don't do that, it isn't the way to get on, careers are safer in gangs!

OOOps I'm silly, I forgot that!
Wonder what would happen if I forgot to pay the tax on my already, pre-taxed, stealth taxed, taxed to flamin death...private pension!
Suppose I'd get ganged up on...

Well, yes you would I'm afraid. Alzheimer's is an unacceptable citizen excuse with regard to taxation.

Being to busy to bother, or having a permanent temporary mind slip however are acceptable and time honoured excuses in regard to bunking-off taxs by pretending they're Parliamentary expenses.
