  • Best Deal you've ever had on Cubanos

Just got my visa bill in today and was pleasantly surprised by the amount I had been charged from my last order from 1001cubans, so i had to make a song and dance about it.

    I ordered a combo offer

    1x25 box hoyo churchills
1x25 box cohiba magico maduro 5

Amount charged ?235 for the LOT A steal or what? The same cigars would have cost be ?800+ at my local

I've had boxes of RyJ churchills in the past for ?140 when the pound was strong againt the dollar but nothing to really shout about recently until now.

So I pose you this, whats the best deal you have ever had on CCs and from whom?

    Good question.

That`s a good question Kdot.I think the best deal I ever had was when I bought cigars in the canary islands and the Peseta was changing over to the Euro.
Nobody was too sure of all the new prices and I managed to pick up some VR Famosos and R&Js for a fantastic price.

The other good deal was at the airport(Glasgow) believe it or not, and they had mixed up the prices for some of the cigars on display.I ended up getting some MC at a really good price, simply because they had not been priced properly.Granted I had to get the manager involved but an advertised price is a legally binding price in my book.

One of my best was just this year at Gatwick where I bought a box of Partagas SD #1 for ?239!!! No idea why they were less than half price but I snapped up two boxes

A year ago when the dollar to pound was 2:1, I snapped 24 Trinidad Reyes for a mere $96 in a promo...if only they were that cheap these days

my best deal was a box of Partagas D1 EL 2004 for 270 pound at Heathrow airport. My girlfriend bought me 3 boxes, and later I bought the last 2 boxes. By the way, it all happened this year, 5 years after the release.

plus I think 500 pound for a Cuaba millenium jar was a true bargain. Got it two days ago, 10 years after the release. Yay~~

On a smaller scale here, I bought a 10ct box of RyJ No2 Tubos at the Hotel Nationale in Havana for around ?28 back in January. No sale/deal involved, just a nice price

When I went to Cuba I visited some relatives in the country and I bought 50 homemade cigars from a Veguero for $5 dollars. The cigars were AWESOME.

Good job they didn't take it any further! If the seller notices the mistake before the money changes hands, they are under no obligation to sell at the lower price.

If, however, you buy the thing for the lower price and they object afterwards, there is nothing they can do about it.
