Here's the blurb 'For this gem, AJ Fernandez has a crop of incredibly rare Seventh Cut Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. What's ?Seventh Cut,? you ask? The Seventh Cut is one of the last primings to be removed from the plant and thus packs an incredible amount of flavour and strength. Nestled beneath this premium wrapper is a hearty Mexican binder that encompasses potent ? yet, well-aged ? Nicaraguan fillers from Esteli, Condega, and Ometepe.'

This is a very good looking box pressed torpedo measuring 6"x52 with a Colorado Maduro coloured wrapper that is smooth and beautifully made with a sweet coffee scent to it. The fill was slightly soft and springy but there were no hollows and the cold draw was easy and had a mild earthy taste. It lit easily and the draw was perfect with plenty of thick aromatic smoke and a big hit of pepper to start. That settled down to a smooth wood and leather taste with a slightly sweet peppery finish. After about 40 minutes I was reaching for the chocolate because this Angel was no lady and carries a big nicotine load. Into the second third and the flavour changed to introduce definite espresso notes with a nutty taste joining the blend at about half way as the sweetness disappeared to be replaced with a more peppery finish.

The burn was slow with the first inch taking 20 minutes and the whole stick lasting me a good two hours. The burn was perfect with a dense pale grey ash that dropped off every inch or so. In this case the blurb was spot on, this cigar is packed with flavours and strength and I'm not ashamed to say it was too strong for me. Not a beginners cigar for sure.

I might have to look this up at some point.
