The Gurkha Ninja Knife is their name for a 5"x55 robusto made with a Brazilian Colorado Maduro wrapper, Dominican binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The wrapper is toothy with raised veins and smells slightly sweet and earthy. The fill was quite firm with a little springiness and it has a double cap fortunately as I lost the first when I punched it. It lit nicely and soon produced lots of smoke starting with a nice toasted tobacco flavour.
It burned quite quickly doing the first half inch in less than 10 minutes with a neat straight edge. The flavour developed into a slightly sweet woody flavour which after half an hour transitioned into a spicy flavour that reminded me a little of nutmeg. The light grey ash held on for an inch before it dropped and it required a couple of relights. The smoke was quite smooth with little or no pepper and the occasional touch of astringency.
This wasn't a bad cigar but after an hour and about 2/3 through I just got bored with it and let it go.
